New Opera House of Malta

Telmaco S.A. was awarded, following an International Tender procedure, the contract for the design, supply and installation of the Audio Visual and Lighting Systems of the New Opera House.

The duration of the project was eight (8) months and Telmaco’s participation and involvement was deemed excellent and essential by the client, Grand Harbour Regeneration Corporation, and by the world renowned consultants Müller-BBM, Bovis Lend Lease and Renzo Piano.

The new open-air venue in the area of the old opera house in Valetta is one of the most important venues in the Mediterranean area & a high-quality technology has been implemented to ensure this.

The venue hosts more than 900 seats and it is planned to be able to host:

• Symphonic concerts / classic music

• Opera

• Musicals

• Rock or Pop concerts

• Dance performances

• Theatre / drama

• Other speech performances
